Martin Luther King speeches are a fantastic way to get to know him and his ideology, What a fantastic man and what a fantastic era. He was a man of concentration.

May 19th is Malcolm X’s birthday… check out his videos. Malcolm X Speeches. He too was remarkable, and concentrated with a admirable focus. Yet even tho this day is for Martin, being African and a woman I would not leave out the wonderful women who have paved the way for us and who had a focus, a concentration.

What do you think your Ancestors would think about us? Would you think that we are carrying on their heritage, their culture, their right to their inheritance? And what legacy will we leave?
When we have moved along through this passage of understanding, and we can feel the power, we must give “of” ourselves more. Why? Because, like our ancestors, we, too, must grab those and help them along the way, like the warrior Harriet Tubman. Harriet, born into slavery in 1820 in the United States, had to research the safe places for her people to stay. She returned time and time again, bringing our sisters and brothers as far through as into Canada.

You must concentrate and control you mind. That is the way to reach your desired and any goals in your life; whether it is to work towards a license, a degree, or something more immediate. That depends on you.
Know that what you consciously think of is most times and generally cluttered with various and too much information. Our focus is most times a bit off kilter. For those who have the concentration method down pat, your toil is less. But for many of us, we may have so many things in and on our mind at once and that blocks us from focusing on what we really desire. In our culture everything seems counterintuitive to doing so.
Anything that you desire requires concentration. Mary Seacole, had the precision of concentration when tending to her patients during a cholera outbreak in the 1800’s. Thousands of years before Common Era, Emhotb the Ancient Egyptian doctor had the discipline and concentration to design the first stepped pyramid. The Isonghee of Zaire when fleshing out mathematics in BCE required astute concentration. Ahmad Baba al Massufi the eminent scholar from the Western Sudan used judicious concentration to write over more than 40 books particularly on legal historical writings in the 16-17 century. Wangari Maathai, from Kenya, had the astute concentration on the environment and became the first African woman in 2004 to win a Nobel Peace prize. The famous Thespian Ira Aldridge of Senegalese decent beheld impressive concentration to be the only African with a bronze plaque at the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre. Tehuti of Egypt was the impact of universities which concentrated on chemistry, psychology, mathematics, physics, and much more, which is the basis of today’s schooling. Queen of Ndongo from Angola drew in warrior concentration when she forged her blueprint against invaders of her land in the 1500s. These are your ancestors and if they were able to achieve this, so can you. So, what is in your mind?
Happy Birthday to Martin and to all of our ancestors! We love you.
