God is love. The Supreme force is love. Love is an absolute power and you MUST love yourself. Start to master the understanding that if you do not love yourself, your love for others will be shallow. Love embodies many aspects. You will want to embrace love characteristics and apply them to yourself. Caring, giving, compassion, kindness, sensitivity, and understanding are some of the facets, and these characteristics are not interdependent of each other. Love is one of the most powerful actions in the universe.
Contrary to some beliefs, love is not passive; love requires vigor. When you give love, it should be given freely; do not will love to come back to you. That is not love. Love is also not waiting for love to come to you automatically; therefore, thinking this will stimulate and encourage your love because you cannot control another’s thinking. You cannot control another to give his or her love first, causing you to reciprocate. This is immaturity.
While we give love we should not lose ourselves in the process. What is produced by this deficient thinking is a subconscious resentment, an insidious resentment that is ultimately quite harmful. Do not forgo love for yourself, thinking it is out of love, because with this, you are not loving another. So be careful, you who lose yourself in love.
Love is coming from you, from the love of yourself first, and then it can be given to others. And when done purposely and rightly, it comes from the center of your being. Become connected to and in harmony with yourself. This is a must in order to gain knowledge of your expertise and to love the very fact that you are you, and you have skills. You not only have skills to offer others, but no matter what you may think about yourself at any given time, you are unmistakably BEAUTIFUL. Loving also requires knowledge of yourself. It is not selfish to understand and love all and everything about you. Love your spirit. I am sure you heard that saying, “If you don’t love yourself, how can you love anyone else?” Knowing and loving yourself is fundamental because loving someone else will be incomplete without SELF-LOVE.
